Elections.

I am going to do this one on the most recent election. Trump vs. Clinton
To start with the first questions, how do elections influence an individual  political beliefs? Well I think campaigns are targeted a lot at young voters. In a sense, there is a generational gap between the older population and now. I think that life experience and age can make a difference on your voting preferences. Also the campaigns can really influence the younger generation that  may not have a side yet so those campaigns can (poorly) direct their mind in the direction that speaks to them.

What have recent elections shown about the political beliefs of the American public? Well, I think it is all in the was they campaign, and what they stand for. For example, Hillary Clinton's political promises as president were: Free college tuition, Affordable health care, to close wage gaps, increased minimum wage and gun control. Trump on the other hand wanted to promise : Limit and or end immigration, increase jobs, cut taxes, take down ISIS, build a wall and so forth. It really depends on which of those topics really mean the most to you, and the election really showed the split and the importance America puts of those topic.
